Why? DTG is not recommended because polyester can cause dye migration and inconsistent colour. DTF may be more appropriate; embroidery requires a separate suitability review. DTF must first be tested for dye migration on the actual colour and fabric.
Embroidery suitability depends on artwork size, stitch density, garment construction and stabilizer. A physical sample may be required before production.
Relevant risks include puckering, deformation, needle damage, tearing, hoop marks and overly dense embroidery.
